If you're expanding, you might think you need to hire more staff for your sales team. However, that might not be the case. 

Forbes said, "When you build your sales team, you need to make sure you hire the right people at the right time, or the change can end up adding more cost than new revenue."

Ask yourself if you're currently capable of delivering on the expanding sales. If you don't have the ability to follow through on more products or services yet, why try to sell more? 

Do you already have training in place for new staff? Is your current staff as productive as they should be? Can you actually afford more staff? 

The answer could very well be yes, but it's always good to cover all your bases before bringing new team members in.
